Chair: dr. J.M. Biesbroek, J.M.Biesbroek@umcutrecht.nl
Coordinator: M. Coenen, M.Coenen@umcutrecht.nl
Leading centre: UMC Utrecht, Utrecht, the Netherlands
Project initiation year: 2021
Project status: Analysis started
Objectives
- To identify white matter regions where WMH are associated with either cerebral amyloid burden, or vascular risk factors as a proxy for arteriolosclerosis.
- To examine whether WMH patterns can be used to identify patients with underlying cerebral amyloid pathology, small vessel disease, or mixed pathology.
- To develop an algorithm that identifies unusual WMH patterns in a data-driven approach, and to explore the clinical correlates of patients with unusual WMH patterns.
