Chair: prof. dr. G.J. Biessels, G.J.Biessels@umcutrecht.nl
Coordinator: dr. L.G. Exalto, L.G.Exalto-2@umcutrecht.nl

Objectives

Original objectives:
1) To determine whether sex (i.e. male vs. female) is associated with differences in acute infarct size and location in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
2) To determine whether the relationship between infarct location and impairment of global or domain-specific cognitive functioning differs between male and female patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Added objective:
3. To investigate sex differences in the occurrence and type of PSCI in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
